About the Work: Figure Series
I am interested in the human relationship with objects and our compulsion to collect and consume. These hand built ceramic sculptures are wrestling with ideas of power vs. helplessness, abundance vs. excess, status vs. obscurity and the fine line which separates these perceptions.

About the Work: Tile Series
The images on the tiles are from my own drawings and silkscreens. I use the silkscreen to print the images directly onto the clay. I love the natural beauty of organic edges and raw clay. Having this as a canvas allows the simplicity of the image to lead. And to continue using figurative image in a different format than the sculptures.
